"LEGACY for Percussion Ensemble Eight Players"

``Legacy'', composed by Jared Spears, is an eight-piece percussion ensemble piece with an attractive rhythmic and dramatic structure that is suitable for intermediate to advanced repertoire.
Each player uses a variety of percussion instruments to create a soundscape that mixes tension and openness. He skillfully utilizes timpani, keyboard percussion instruments, snares, toms, chimes, etc., and through the interaction between parts and changes in dynamics, he gives his pieces a three-dimensional feel and story.

It is a technically and musically challenging piece for the performers, requiring a wide range of expression from delicate passages to powerful unison and polyrhythmic developments.
This is a well-balanced modern percussion piece that is suitable for educational settings, ensemble contests, and concert programs.
