A stack cymbal that produces a clapping sound!
The Byzance Vintage Smack Stack is crafted using three B20 bronze discs to produce a distinctive sound. By adjusting the wing nut on the cymbal stand, you can change the degree of overlap between the cymbals. Tighten it up for a crisp, short decay sound perfect for short accents, and tighten it loosely for a slightly longer sustain. When combined with a snare drum to enhance the backbeat or used as a snare replacement, it is possible to create an acoustic clapping-like sound.
