Description
Yosuke Nomoto: Each part features its own solo moment! Quintet without keyboards.
March 2008 Arabic, Op. 17
Composer: Yosuke Nomoto
Composer’s Comment
This piece was commissioned and premiered by the percussion concert group Ashiato.
At the time of its composition, I was listening to music from the Arab world, and it was also a period when crude oil prices were rising more sharply than ever before.
The work is built around rhythms such as those used in belly dance, written for instruments commonly found in school bands. Please perform with an emphasis on ethnic atmosphere and timbral color.
Please note that we cannot accept returns or exchanges due to ordering errors.
