Arannger’s Comments

• Although the arrangement is for six players, it may also be performed by seven or eight players if desired.

• If you wish to shorten the performance time, cuts may be made.

• The timpani part includes passages for tambourine, but if switching instruments is too difficult, these may be omitted.

• The timpani part requires frequent pitch changes and highly advanced pedal technique; any unmanageable sections may be freely omitted.

• The Marimba 2 part is written for a 5-octave range; if the lower register is unavailable, you may raise those notes an octave.

• Percussion parts with particularly busy instrument changes may also be simplified or omitted.
