[Composer’s Note]
This piece follows the same spirit as my previous works written for ensemble contests. After a brief introduction, the music develops through rhythmic repetition and expansion, a dissonant first section, a lyrical middle section sung by a marimba chorus, and a finale that weaves together irregular meters with the return of the chorale melody.
