Performance Duration
Approx. 5 min 16 sec
The performance time is based on the reference recording and may vary depending on interpretation and tempo.
One of the pieces from the Setsugetsuka series: Yukidōrō / Byakko, Tsukimeikyū / Ōgami, Hanakairō / Fūryū.
Composer’s Comment
This piece consists of the following three sections:
-
Falling Snow – Snow falls silently from the sky, piling up. Looking upward, one feels an illusion of being drawn into the sky itself. Seen from above, the lights of countless snow lanterns sway in a magical, dreamlike way.
-
Circulating Water – Snow eventually melts into water. The water evaporates, becomes clouds, and then returns again as falling snow.
-
Galloping Divine Beast – Although the White Tiger is traditionally the guardian deity of the West, I imagined its majestic figure dancing across snowy plains, freely roaming the heavens and earth.
