Description
The Grunt Tone series is a standard model of the Kato mallet, and the models are divided according to the hardness of the mallet head.It is designed to be able to play with the same sound quality from P to FF by significantly cutting out unnecessary overtones.
MW-75 is a medium soft model, characterized by calm tone and thick pronunciation.
This item can be used as a solid medium mallet in an orchestra, or as a flexible soft mallet in a wind band. it's recommended!

“Grundton” literally translates to “basic sound”
The basic series of KATO mallets was created by carefully examining the balance and hardness of many prototypes based on the recipe specified by Mr. Seegers.

About KATO BK (Kato Baku Kobo/Kato Mallet)
All handmade timpani mallet by Akihiro Kato, former principal timpani player of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
The unique core material reduces sound cracking and allows for richer, deeper resonance.
Its high quality is highly praised not only in Japan but also in Europe, where it is extremely popular.
