Sound and Healing Part.2 “What is the chakra that flows in the body? What is your relationship with sound?』
In Part 1, which I posted in February, I posted about the world of sound, ``sound bath,'' which is a little different from playing music, focusing on how and how to use sound and instruments for healing and therapy.
This time, we will delve into what exactly "chakra" is, which was also mentioned in the article, and its relationship with sound.
What is chakra?
In recent years, you may have heard the name in manga and anime.
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning ``wheel'' or ``circle,'' and is a traditional concept in yoga and Hinduism. It is a place where the life energy flowing within a person is concentrated, and there are multiple locations along the path of the energy flowing vertically within the body. Seven types of chakras are assigned to parts of the body, and are believed to be closely related to the health and harmony of the mind and body.
Next, we will look at how this chakra is connected to sound and what effects it has.
Relationship between chakra and sound
Each chakra has a unique vibrational frequency, and these are stimulated by sound waves and vibrations. Music therapy uses specific frequencies, sounds, and vibrations to adjust the tone and balance of each chakra. Listen to the sound emitted from the instrument, or press the instrument against the corresponding chakra in the body to directly transmit vibrations to encourage adjustment.
In addition, these frequencies and vibrations have individual differences and compatibility, such as the person's body system, and there are various theories about the corresponding frequencies and efficacy.
A = 432Hz (hertz) often attracts attention, and is said to be a little lower than the modern standard tuning A (A) note = 440Hz, giving it a warmer sound.
