Percussion Festival 2025 Vol.39 in KANSAI,The event was held on May 4th and 5th on a sunny day at the Osaka Philharmonic Hall.
As soon as the doors opened at 11:30, the exhibition and sales space for musical instruments, sheet music, CDs, mallets and sticks was crowded with visitors.
The clinic, which will begin at 12:30 and focuses on pieces for wind band competitions, will be conducted by Mr. Hideshiro Tabata (Osaka Shion), who will play all the percussion instruments. W.O) The keyboard instruments were played by Mina Maruyama (freelance), the timpani by Moriaki Saito (formerly the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra), and the drum set by Kazuhiro Moriyama (Takarazuka Revue Orchestra).The junior and senior high school students and instructors listened intently, taking notes and actively asking questions.
The main concert will then begin at 16:00.
The top spots on both days of the program were students from the four schools who achieved excellent results in the ensemble contest!

- Nishinomiya City Koryo Junior High School = Daichi Hayashi/Galaxy Cluster (Kansai Ensemble Contest Gold Prize Winner)
- Amagasaki City Amagasaki Twin Star High School R. George / Consider the Birds (allJapanEnsemble Contest Gold Prize Winner)
Their magnificent and powerful performances received a big round of applause.

There were also wonderful performances by members and special guests.
- Osaka University of Arts Percussion Major = T. Gauger/Gainsborough
- Special Guest = Makiko Tsukagoe = Solo Toru Takemitsu / Small Sky Miho Haza / Little Rhapsody for Marimba Based on the Spring Sea Motif

- Special guest = Mr. Mizalito Solo = Mizalito / Original soundtrack

- Mr. Tsukagoshi and other members conducted by Hiroshi Sakagami = Monty/Cardash (arranged by Jun Sugawara)

- Mr. Mizolito and members Masato Hanaishi conductor = Tatsuro Higashieda / Latin medley

- Yuzo Toyama / Rhapsody Hiroshi Sakagami Conductor = Vib Solo Mr. Tsukagoshi


Guests from the four schools and special guests Mr. Tsukagoshi and Mr. Mizolito made the concert lively and lively with their music. Despite the limited rehearsal time, each member's performance was fun, beautiful, and cool and delivered to the audience. (Number of visitors: 366)
