Our goal was to create a Radic Plaend!

A completely handmade snare by drum tech Hirotaka Shinohara! The third regular model!

I asked them to make it for me, aiming to revive the gentle sound of the light plastic ends that used to be found on Ludwig snare wires.

This model offers an exquisite lightness and feel that cannot be achieved with snare wires with metal ends.

Sciroppe is a brand that gives shape to ideas of "I wish there was something like this."
Rather than luxury products, our first priority is providing products that are comfortable and safe to use.
The snare is an important part that determines the sound of the snare drum.
There are many different kinds of snares on the market, each with its own characteristics. However, some of them create a "sound that is unique to that snare" or kill the sound of the snare drum itself. I sometimes felt something was off about these snares.
So I decided to make a snare, but from the beginning I didn't intend to make a "nice-sounding snare". This is because good-sounding snare already existed, and the discomfort I felt was not with the sound, but with the way they reacted and resonated.
For example, a nimble sports car is better than a race car built to win.
It took a lot of prototyping and a lot of time to get the results I wanted.
From this, we arrived at the idea of "matching the individuality of the snare."
This is the concept of the SCIROPPE snare, and it is a feature that no other snare has.
When you hit a snare with this snare you will feel the difference.

If people think, "That's kind of nice," that's the best outcome I can hope for.
