A 4-ply composite ultra-thin shell (5mm thick) of maple and bubinga is used to demonstrate high-speed response in all ranges.
In addition, the bubinga ply on the inner surface of the shell is varnished with the same varnish used for violins to achieve a supple and deep sound while maintaining clarity of pronunciation and a hard tone. In addition, the fat tone hoop provides both sharpness and a supple touch, making it a model that demonstrates its "strong" character as a concert snare drum, from a finely detailed and delicate approach to overwhelming impact.
