Model supervised by Yoshihiro Ando, principal timpanist and percussionist of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra
The Concert Custom model was supervised by Yoshihiro Ando, principal timpanist and percussionist of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and is designed to be stiffer while giving weight to the mallet head in order to bring out the timpani's clear pronunciation and sense of pitch.
The shaft is made of thin hickory, which makes it lightweight and provides excellent mallet maneuverability.
We have a lineup of 6 types of mallets.
The 667C uses cork for the head, providing a powerful attack and clear tone.
This model is lighter than the so-called "wooden drumsticks" made entirely of wood, so it puts less strain on the timpani head.
