The Superstar, which was released just two years after the birth of the TAMA brand, was an unprecedented drum kit that used an all-birch shell. Its dynamic and powerful sound was a perfect match for the intense rock sound of the time, and it would go on to shape TAMA's future sound. This Superstar Reissue is a limited edition model that revives this monumental model, which marked a turning point in TAMA's history.
The shell is made of 9mm all-birch, which is thicker than modern drums, and delivers a powerful attack and deep bass reminiscent of the time. In addition, the hardware parts such as the lugs and claw hooks are reproduced to the specifications of the time, and the inside of the shell is painted the same color as the outside, giving it a vintage look.
