It was started in 2000 by Dinesh Joseph in the back hallway of the Juilliard School.
He initially made one pair of sticks.

after that,
Steve Weiss Music heard the rumors and produced various models, which were successful.

However, in 2003, Dragonfly Percussion went on hiatus when Dinesh accepted a job with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2014 he revived Dragonfly Percussion with the help of his wife Jeannie.
Thanks to Dinesh's ideas and Jeannine's management skills, the company expanded its market to all over the world.
