50th anniversary! 1964 reprint original bongo! 🔊
LP founder Martin Cohen created the first set of wooden bongos in 1964 based on the specifications desired by local musicians, and the LP Original Bongos are now reissued with that memorable bongo specification.
The body is made of heavy mahogany, and the head is engraved with the date 1964.
The caliber is slightly smaller than other LP bongos.
As a result, the space between the two hitting surfaces is narrow, making it easy to clip between your feet, so you won't feel the weight of the body.
The head is very thick, and the sound output is thick and muscular.
Latin music such as salsa seems to go well with it! Recommended!
