[Composer comment]
This piece was composed in 2021 as a new piece for the JPC Ensemble Collection.
Since many schools only engage in percussion ensembles during the fall and winter months, I wrote this song with the intention of ``packing a variety of elements'' so that you can practice in a variety of ways.
The song develops one after another: an impromptu dialogue → a ballad → 6/8 time with an odd time signature → a fast section... Personally, I think it's best to first focus on improving the quality of each scene, and then consider the overall flow and summarize it.
Also, in order to write a fast-paced song, I used a certain short story as a reference to create a sound. It might be a good idea to try playing while imagining what kind of story it is.
