<Commenter's comments>
This song is for the ensemble contest commissioned by Yamaha Wind Orchestra Hamamatsu, and is the third one, following LUNA (2007) GEMINI (2008).
"Typoeus" is a Greek god (monster) also known as the typhoon, and is said to have fought a deadly battle with Zeus, the main god, and is also said to be the origin of the word "Typhoon" due to its ragingness.
The song is mainly composed of a conflict between the themes that combines long seven degrees and increased pitches with the church-like themes, and uses motifs that are common to those of the previous two works and "Star Story: Chapter of the Wind," which was composed at the same time as this work.
This work is not only about the three elements of music (melody, harmony, and rhythm), but also about the "acoustics" made from special instruments and special playing techniques. Aim for a deep sound.
