Description
Banderas『"La Bandera" CD
The long-awaited first full album from BANDERAS, which opens up a new path for salsa-Latin music from the club scene!
Members who have their own unique styles and are active in various music fields such as funk, R&B, reggae, Cuban, salsa, and Afrobeat have come together under the name Salsa. BANDERAS, a salsa band from Tokyo whose first single was released in March 2018 by the Swiss label Matasuna Records (domestic release was May 2016) and which reached number 1 on Juno Records' international chart, is rapidly gaining attention overseas, has released their long-awaited first album. It may be inevitable that attention will be paid to these artists, who push the boundaries of salsa, a music that is only enjoyed by a limited number of fans around the world, while incorporating a wealth of rich musical elements. As the album title of "La Bandera (Flag)" suggests, this is a work that seems to be planting a new salsa flag from Tokyo. This is a piece filled with admiration for salsa classics, an approach that is not bound by existing frameworks, a sense of destruction filled with frustration, sweat and romance, and will make you cry, laugh, and dance.
