Plastic head djembe. Standard size 12 inches.
REMO's Djembe. The head is made of plastic, and the body is made of hardened wood chips called acousticon.
Compared to African-made Djembe, it's a bit worrisome that the high overtones characteristic of plastic heads remain, but it resonates well from bass to treble.
Also, since it has a plastic head, it will not be affected by humidity or weather, so there is no problem even if it is left taut. Heads can be easily replaced and maintenance is easy.
