Teardrop type brass head beater
The characteristic of the teardrop head is that you can expect a delicate sound in the thin part near the tip and a dynamic sound in the thick part. (This is a common explanation for Playwood/Freer)
The finer details of the head are thicker than playwood (approximately φ5mm), allowing for a deeper sound.
Compared to the stainless steel head, the tone is soft and mellow.
Compared to stainless steel shafts, carbon fiber shafts
The suppleness makes it difficult to produce an attack sound, making it particularly easy to play rolls.
