[Report] MEINL Sound Bath experience session
One day in April, I attended a MEINL Sonic Energy sound bath trial session held for shops at a studio in Shibuya.
A sound bath is an experience that relaxes the mind and body by listening to (feeling) sound vibrations throughout the body.
It is also called a sound bath.

Yoga mats are spread around MEINL Sonic Energy instruments.
While everyone lies down and listens to the relaxing sounds of ``instruments that produce gentle sounds'' such as crystal bowls, kalimba, steel tongue drums, and ocean drums, we place a singing bowl on our stomachs and are surrounded by the vibrations of the sound.
By concentrating on the sound, you focus your attention within yourself. I tend to have trouble concentrating when I walk here and there, so I often think of scenery I saw when I was a child, come back to reality (work), or shake my head at scenery I've never seen before (to put it simply, it's a revitalization of the image!), but some people say that they felt soundly in a short period of time, or that they were able to relax without thinking about anything. Some people seemed to feel the flow of blood.
One of the purposes of Sonic Energy is to help people relax by tuning and adjusting the vibrations at the cellular level of the body through pleasant sound vibrations in response to modern stress, so this may have been the most effective.
In some countries, sound therapy and music therapy using sound pressure are actively practiced.
At this trial session, two sound baths were held at different times.
Since the participants were mostly artists and music store employees, the performers noticed that they couldn't help but keep their eyes wide open because they were curious about which instrument was currently being played, so the second time they all got up and looked at each other while actually playing the instruments. As we played, we all felt the vibrations of the instruments we were playing matching each other, and it was both strange and fun. It was a different experience than the first time I faced myself.
The ``instruments that produce gentle tones'' used in this sound bath have been used in musical performances before, but from a slightly different perspective, it gave us a sense of the wide range of ways in which instruments can be used.
The “sound” produced by musical instruments is not limited to music only.
Music that uses sound also has endless possibilities.
