[Event Report] Zildjian Talk & Grooves Vol.3 Special! Original stack cymbal experience with three drummers
[Zildjian Talk & Grooves Vol.3 Special!] was held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, sponsored by YAMAHA. ] I have participated in the.
This event's theme is "stack cymbals," which have been attracting attention from many drummers around the world in recent years.JapanA special session and talk were held by three drummers representing . Additionally, each of the three participants used stacks they had devised in actual sessions and introduced their appeal.
This time I was able to watch both the rehearsal and the actual performance. In the sessions, stacked cymbals were not only used as accents, but also used freely to create beats and to be mixed into phrases, and each member's different approach was impressive. It was a very interesting session as I was able to see firsthand how the three parties are used.
From here, we will introduce the original stacks of each of the three people. All three have given names to the stacks they devised, so I will also introduce those names.
■ Chisato Kawaguchi

Stack name: “Imoko-chan”
[Features]
Easy-to-handle, well-balanced, light trashy sound. It had a moderate amount of sound and gave the impression that it was very easy to use as an accent cymbal. Since it uses 14-inch cymbals, it has a good volume, making it a presence in a band ensemble.
[Configuration]
・Top 8" FX Trashformer
・Middle 14" FX Trashformer
・Bottom 14" A Custom EFX
[Comment from Chisato Kawaguchi]
“The key is to use two sizes of Trashfomer, which I usually use!”
“The light and trashy sound is appealing.”
■ Kei Bando

Stack name: “Aburi-chan”
[Features]
Since it uses two 18-inch cymbals and a 10-inch cymbal, it has excellent volume and presence. This stack has good crispness and can be used not only as an accent, but also for carved phrases while maintaining the volume due to its large diameter.
[Configuration]
・Top 10" A Custom EFX
・Middle 18"S Dark China
・Bottom 18" K Custom Special Dry Trash China

[Comment from Kei Bando]
"Sound with a strong presence even within the band sound"
"It's a combination that has a large caliber and delivers solid power."
■ Mr. FUYU

Stack name: "Pyonkichi"
[Features]
Because it uses spiral cymbals, it bounces every time you hit it, making this stack unique in appearance. The sustain is a little long, and you can enjoy a unique sound even among accent cymbals. You can also change the character by changing the order of the cymbals.
[Configuration]
・Top 10" FX Spiral Stacker
・Middle 10" FX Trashformer
・Bottom 10" K Custom Special Dry Splash

[Comment from FUYU]
"A multi-stack that can be used in 3 ways! You can enjoy all the sounds no matter what order you stack them in."
“Easy to use and recommended for those who are introducing stack cymbals for the first time!”
Furthermore, we have decided to sell Zildjian Cymbal Quick Release Stacker and a stack set with autographs from each creator!
Details will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned.
One of the appeals of stacked cymbals is that the character changes greatly depending on the combination and order in which they are stacked.
It might be fun to create your own sounds and combine them to create an original stack! !
That was the event report! ! !

P.S.
We also had a photo taken! Mr. FUYU! Mr. Kawaguchi! Mr. Bando! Thank you very much! ! !
