The Sequel to the Popular “CRESCENT for Percussion Trio, Op.5”

Composer’s Note
This piece was conceived with the image of a performer surrounded by instruments, moving quickly among them while maintaining a steady tempo.
Within this framework, a variety of musical characters appear.
It incorporates motifs from my “Moon Series” as well as connections to a percussion concerto composed around the same time.
Because the performer must move rapidly between instruments and frequently change mallets or sticks, thoughtful setup and mallet placement are essential.
I hope to hear performances where all three players breathe and move in perfect unison.
Instrumentation
Percussion 1: 4 Temple Blocks, Vibraphone (lowest note C40, educational model acceptable), Timpani (with pedal changes), Glockenspiel, Chimes, Marimba (A25–C76, 4 1/3 octaves)
Percussion 2: Suspended Cymbal, Marimba, Timpani, Wind Chime, Vibraphone, Cowbell, Bongo, Snare Drum
Percussion 3: Wind Chime, Chimes, Timpani, Marimba, Suspended Cymbal, 3 Tom-toms, Bass Drum, Glockenspiel
Most instruments may be shared among players (requires careful setup planning).
