Composer’s Comment
This piece consists of three sections: a gradually intensifying opening, a mysterious middle section, and a more vigorous, fast-paced finale.
It is designed as a companion piece to the marimba trio “First Quarter Moon – Prayer” and may be performed consecutively with it.
Instruments Used
Player 1: Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Bongos, Hi-hat Cymbals
Player 2: Bass Drum, 2 Tom-toms, Tambourine, Ride Cymbals
Player 3: Bass Drum, Floor Tom, 2 Congas, Suspended Cymbals
The bass drum should be a horizontal concert-style bass drum (the same size as used in a drum set), shared by all three players.

The performance time is based on the reference recording and may vary depending on interpretation and tempo.
