[Report] Yamaha Drums and Zildjian Presents STEVE GADD Drum Clinic 2023

This is Drum City staff member Kurosawa!
I attended drummer Steve Gadd's clinic held at Shibuya Stream Hall on Friday, October 27, 2023!

The venue was packed with spectators, many standing, and filled with excitement.
From the beginning, Steve Gadd performed a breathtaking demo performance that captivated the audience.
Afterwards, I was able to hear valuable stories about warm-up and daily practice methods using Big Firth rubber tips.

At the Q&A corner, a wide variety of questions were asked from the audience.
We received detailed answers to questions such as the balance with other instruments in an ensemble, the secret to good health, how to put together phrases, and adjusting the volume balance.
In particular, in response to a question about why he uses Yamaha, he mentioned the name of Yamaha legend Mr. Hagiwara, demonstrating the depth of his ties to Yamaha, and Mr. Hagiwara also visited the venue, creating a touching moment.

It was an hour and a half that flew by.

I attended this clinic and was impressed by Steve Gadd's approachable attitude.
Furthermore, I was deeply moved by the consideration given to the staff and the courteous answers to my questions.
Thank you very much to Mr. Steve Gadd and all the Yamaha staff.
