PERSONS
We received a comment from Tomohiro Tsujimoto, who joined the Gunma Symphony Orchestra.
My name is Chihiro Tsujimoto and I have joined the Gunma Symphony Orchestra as principal timpani and percussionist on February 1, 2026.
It's already been half a year since I joined the team.
10 years ago, I came to Tokyo from Fukuoka to enter university and encountered an orchestra.
I am very happy that what I worked so hard to follow in the footsteps of my master has finally taken shape.
My master once told me, ``A timpani player's career begins after he joins an orchestra.''
I think I've finally made it to the starting line, so I want to keep trying to improve and take on new challenges.
About the Glass Concerto.
In 2019, when I was in my fourth year of university, the NHK Symphony Orchestra featured this concerto, and I went to NHK Hall to listen to it.
I never thought I would be performing.
And it's only been 4 months since I joined.
This was the stage where I greeted everyone in Gunkyo and the customers who have always supported me, saying, "Thank you for your continued support!"
I felt truly blessed and it was such a luxurious time.
