PERSONS
We received a comment from Kenichi Ogata, who joined the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra.
This is Kenichi Ogata, a percussionist who joined the company on July 1st.
I started playing percussion instruments in the wind band at junior high school.
When I was in elementary school, I took piano lessons, but at first I didn't think about joining a brass band. However, when I heard that my best friend had decided to join a brass band, I couldn't have imagined at the time that what I started doing was not because I wanted to play music, but because I wanted to do something with my friends, and that it had become a part of my life today.
After that, I was taught the joys (and of course the pains) of music at high school, university, orchestra academy, and many orchestral settings. ``What am I going to music college for in the future?'' I didn't even have a vague idea of what I was going to do in the future, so I feel that the teachers who guided me and the people around me who worked hard to improve themselves were very important to me.
Everyone at the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra has a very warm and peaceful atmosphere, but when it comes to the actual performance, everyone is very passionate and focused, and although I feel nervous and numb because I feel responsible, I practice hard every day so that I can enjoy (and enjoy!) the time when I can match the sounds with everyone.
As the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 65th anniversary this year, we will not forget to express our gratitude to our predecessors who have cultivated our history up until now, and we will work sincerely every day to pass on the "orchestra" culture that is rooted in the land of Sapporo to future generations.
